Dear Friendlies; It’s me again. Thank you to those of you who made it out to shows on my recent W. Canada tour with T.Nile and to the record release show in Vancouver. I’m a new man- I learnt to drive stick, I saw prairie sunsets and fell in love with a GPS named Simon.
Here is some news to fill this aptly named letter:
Bruise, the new record, is now out in the world and making lots of friends. If you won’t be able to catch me in person then you can find it on iTunes or order it HERE. Here’s one of the recent reviews.
I’ll be playing a couple more shows in BC Oct 13-16—Kelowna, Smithers, Prince George.
And then I’ll be in Ontario and Quebec Oct 19-29 (Toronto shows on the 22nd&27th, Montreal on the 23rd, and more.). All these dates are on the Tour page or on Facebook, with a couple more to come.
THE FUGITIVES ARE PLAYING THE VOGUE! That’s right, Wed, November 2nd we’ll be at Vancouver’s Vogue Theatre with CR Avery and Wil. I’m very sad to say that this will be out last show with the incomparable Barbara Adler who has decided to focus on other projects. So I hope you can make this show—it’ll be the last Fugitives show for a little while as we figure out our next step. And also the Vogue is really big and we don’t want to feel lonely in it. Please come. Thanks. Tix available here.
That’s it for now. There’s music videos about to come out and remixes and crazy stuff but I’ll save all that for next time. As for me, my new favourite song is Essence by Lucinda Williams. A song about addiction that is addictive- perfect. And without getting overly preachy I’d just like to say that the more I read about the Occupy Wall St movement the more I feel a stirring in my bones- I truly believe something’s beginning here and I think it’s important to be a part of this thing and stay informed. Here’s an author I respect highly, Chris Hedges, speaking about it.
Love you all,
